Refund and cancellation policy

This policy applies to paid advisory engagements with Network Architects — dependency assessments, architecture workshops, integration risk mapping, legacy coupling analysis, and advisory retainers. It does not cover physical products or software subscriptions, which we do not sell on this site.

Deposits

Flagship assessments and multi-week mappings typically require a deposit (often 30%) to reserve calendar time. Deposits are credited toward the engagement fee. Advisory retainers are billed per quarter in advance as stated in the letter of engagement.

Cancellation by the client

• More than 14 days before the agreed start date: full refund of amounts paid, minus documented third-party costs already incurred (for example prepaid meeting facilities).
• 7 to 14 days before start: 50% of the deposit may be retained for reserved capacity; any amount above that deposit portion is refunded.
• Fewer than 7 days before start, or after work has begun: fees for work completed and reserved days already allocated are due; unused future phases may be refunded on a pro-rata basis at our discretion when materials have not been prepared.

Rescheduling

One reschedule with at least 10 days’ notice is usually accommodated without penalty, subject to our availability. Later or repeated reschedules may require a new deposit or adjusted fee.

Cancellation by Network Architects

If we must cancel for reasons within our control, you receive a full refund of amounts paid for undelivered work, or a mutually agreed new date.

Work already started

Interview guides, draft models, and partial findings created before cancellation remain our working materials unless the engagement contract states otherwise. Fees for completed stages remain payable.

No-shows

If sponsor or owner interviews are missed without 24 hours’ notice and we cannot rebook within the engagement window, those sessions may be marked complete for fee purposes, or extended at additional cost.

Workshops

Workshop day fees are refundable in full when cancelled more than 7 days ahead. Inside 7 days, preparation fees already incurred are chargeable; the facilitation day fee may be credited toward a new date within three months.

Retainers

Quarterly advisory fees are non-refundable once the quarter begins, except when we fail to provide the agreed attendance and hours. Unused call hours do not roll over unless the letter of engagement says otherwise.

Refund method and timing

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 14 business days of written approval. Bank processing times may add several days.

Exceptions

A signed statement of work may set different commercial terms; those terms prevail for that engagement. Statutory rights under Korean law remain unaffected where they cannot be waived.
